Ovarian Cancer Day of Silence

The Ovarian Cancer Day of Silence is to raise awareness about the symptoms and risks of ovarian cancer and to encourage women to be their own health advocates. They take a vow of silence for the day, encouraging women to listen for the signs and honor those who have been forever silenced by the disease.

Project Scope & Needs

The Ovarian Cancer Day of Silence website was started in honor of Carol Watterson and a way to raise awareness about the risks and symptoms of ovarian cancer. The old website was strictly an information site, but to fully raise awareness they wanted a website that could allow women to engage each other in conversation through the website.

Solution

We designed the new website to showcase survivors of ovarian cancer and allowed you to read their inspiring stories of hope. The new website also features a secure login backend that allows you to share your story with others and forums to engage with other women who are or have been affected by ovarian cancer.
